Privacy policy and using cookie files on Internet services of bot.science4people.eu/

Privacy protection
Science4People (hereinafter called ‘S4P’) considers it particularly important to respect the privacy of users of the Internet services administered by S4P (hereinafter called ‘the Services’).

Data collection
All data from S4P Services users are collected in two ways:

  • information provided voluntarily by the user – we ask users of our registration and contact forms to provide their personal data,
  • information automatically obtained while using the Services, including:
    • information in server logs – the user’s IP address, addresses of websites downloaded by the user, dates and times of connections, browser types, types of operating systems,
    • information collected by the Google Analytics tool in the process of monitoring website visit statistics,
    • text files (the so-called ‘cookies’) sent to the user’s computer when the user is visiting the website.

The controller of the data contained in the Services is Science4People.

How cookies work

  • Your web browser may store cookies on your computer disc. Cookies contain information necessary for the proper functioning of the Services.
  • The content of cookies does not allow user identification.
  • Cookies do not process or store personal data of users of the Services.
  • S4P stores cookies on users’ computers in order to:
    • properly adjust the Services to the needs of their users,
    • remember the preferences and individual user settings of users,
    • create viewing statistics of the Services.
  • Users have the option of configuring their web browsers to completely or partially disable the storage of cookies on their computers’ hard drives. The effect of such a change may be the loss of the ability to use some of the functionalities of the Services.

Use of data

  • Data collected as part of our Services are used to provide specific services to our users, for administrative and statistical purposes, and to protect the Services.
  • The data can be also accessed by Google Inc. company (through the use of Google Analytics functionalities for statistical purposes) and by social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter (through the presence of content sharing plugins on websites).

Personal data security

  • We do our best to protect the Services against unauthorized access by third parties.
  • The Services, however, contain links to other websites. We recommend you to read the privacy policies of these other websites after switching to these websites.

Users of our Services may change their cookie settings at any time. Details on the possibilities and ways of using cookies are available in individual browsers:

If our privacy policy concerning the Services changes, we will inform you about it on this website. The current version of the Privacy policy was adopted on 15.01.2021 r.

Science4People has appointed a Data Protection Officer, i.e. a person who can be contacted in all matters related to the processing of personal data and the exercise of rights related to data processing.

Information about your rights
You have the right to access your data and, subject to the provisions of the law, you have the right to:

  1. rectification of data,
  2. deletion of data,
  3. data processing restrictions,
  4. data portability,
  5. object to the processing of personal data,
  6. submit a complaint to the supervisory body – the President of the Personal Data Protection Office, if you feel that the processing of personal data violates generally applicable provisions in this regard.

The above-mentioned rights are implemented by submitting a written application to the Administrator.
